Papuma beach is a series of coastline with Payangan and Watu Ulo, same with Payangan, you need to find "Tawang Alun" bus station at jember. If you come from Surabaya Juanda Airport, you need to go to Purabaya/Bungurasih Bus Station at surabaya and ask the Station workers about jember bus. As Much as possible, try to find Patas Bus that have destination to Jember for your safety. Be Careful when you use bus for your transportation on east java, take care your belongings and stay awake.

Back to the topic, the difference between papuma and payangan is, you can rent some local boat for take ocean tour and diving, but for diving, you need to bring your own equipment because there is no equipment for rent. Papuma is more active than payangan, active means more peoples come to papuma everyday. The second difference is papuma has entry fee. When you go to payangan, you just need to pay at parking arena (if you drive your own vehicle), and when you go to papuma beach, it has 1US$ or IDR 15000 for each person. as i know, there is no different between local and international fee, so, it's a cheap entry fee for us. Next Difference is, papuma has white sandbeach and very good ecosystem on beach or behind the sea

There is a rocks that make history of papuma, called siti hinggil. Siti Hinggil is a evidence that papuma was a part of Malikan island, for now, you just can see Siti Hinggil and the track between Papuma and Malikan that shaped as rock lines in the middle of the sea. Siti Hinggil rock shape like a frong or like a crown from God Narada.
